Cordless, goes where sockets do not
2000 mAh battery, charges over USB
Doubles as a night light
Description
A rechargeable table lamp goes where the sockets are not: the middle of a dining surface, a windowsill, a balcony ledge. It removes the one constraint that usually decides where a lamp can live, which is the position of the nearest outlet. At 16 by 40 centimetres it has the proportions of a proper lamp rather than a gadget, so it does not look like a compromise once it is in place. Battery lamps usually look like equipment; the proportions here are what stop this one doing so.
A 2000mAh battery runs it cordless and a USB cable, included, brings it back to full when it runs down. The LED draws 3 watts, which is why a single charge lasts through an evening rather than an hour. Finishes are gold or black, and it doubles as a night light and a decorative ornament when it is not doing anything more demanding. Charging over standard USB means no proprietary dock is needed and any phone charger will do.
On a dinner table it gives the light a candle would without the flame; on a bedside it holds a low glow through the night. Because nothing tethers it, it moves between rooms as easily as it moves along a shelf. DecorNestHub supplies it with the charging cable in the box. Gold reads warmer against a set table, black is the more neutral choice for everyday use.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a charge last?
