Smoked Glass Pendant Light

A glass pendant light works hardest where the light needs to land in one place: over a dining table, a bar counter or a bedside. This single-head fitting throws its beam straight down, and the tinted glass scatters a fine starry-sky pattern outward as it goes, so the surrounding wall gets some of the effect without losing brightness where it is wanted. Single pendants suit surfaces rather than rooms, which is why the drop height matters so much.

The shade is glass on an iron body, offered at 200 by 180, 200 by 90 or 150 by 220 millimetres, in smoke grey or amber. The LED source is integrated, the fitting is single head, and the drop adjusts to 1.5 metres so it can be set at the right height above a surface rather than fixed at one length. The three shade sizes change how tightly the beam is contained below the fitting.

Hung in a group of three over an island it gives even coverage; hung singly beside a bed it replaces a table lamp and frees the surface.
