Ornament by day, projector after dark
Runs from USB, no socket needed
Four designs in moulded glass
Description
A planet table lamp in moulded glass works as an ornament by day and a projector after dark, casting a starry sky across the ceiling. It is the piece that makes a bedside shelf feel considered rather than merely functional, and it gives a study the same quiet, low light without adding another switch to reach for in the dark. Projection lamps are as much an object as a light, which is why the glass body matters.
The body is glass, measuring 120 by 120 by 140 millimetres, and designs include sunset planet, blue earth, painted planet and moon. It runs from USB at 36 volts or below, with a button control and touch dimming on selected models. Average lamp life is around 2000 hours. As a decorative light rather than a task light, it is meant to be looked at as much as used. USB power keeps it usable on a shelf with no socket behind it.
Keep it on a stable, flat surface, and where it is used in a child's room it should be positioned out of reach and used under adult supervision, as with any glass object and cable. DecorNestHub supplies it with the USB cable included. The moon and blue earth designs read quietest; the painted planet is the most decorative of the four.
