Description
A fabric wall light that runs on a battery and a handheld remote mounts where no cable runs. That answers the standard renovation problem of wanting light on a wall the electrician never reached. Nothing needs chasing into the plaster, and mounted at shoulder height it lights the wall and the traffic route past it without any wiring work at all. Battery fittings solve a problem that is otherwise expensive, which is adding light to a finished wall.
The shade is fabric on an iron body, with an LED source offering colour temperatures at 1800K, 5400K and 7500K, so it covers a candle-warm setting through to a cool working light. Control is entirely by remote, and the fitting carries FCC-B certification. Because it is wireless, position is decided by where the light is wanted rather than by where the circuit runs. 1800K is close to candlelight; 7500K is a cool working light, and the remote moves between them.
On a stairway it puts light where a switch would be awkward to add. In a rented bedroom it gives bedside light without touching the electrics. Fabric keeps the output soft at close range.
