Dimmable Creative USB Desk Lamp

A creative USB desk lamp built for the hour before sleep. This Bauhaus-inspired piece sits on a nightstand and gives a bedroom soft, controllable light without needing a mains socket nearby. One USB cable powers it, so it moves between bedside, desk and shelf without any rewiring, and the same cable runs from a plug, a laptop or a power bank depending on where it ends up. USB lighting removes the need for a socket beside the bed, which older rooms often lack.

The shade is glass or PE depending on the model, and the lamp measures 29 by 21 by 15 centimetres. Finishes are white, pink, orange or beige. It runs on a 5 volt USB supply and offers three colour temperatures with stepless dimming, so the light can be tuned from a working white down to a warm level that will not disturb sleep. It carries EU CE certification. The four finishes are chosen to sit quietly on a nightstand rather than to stand out.

On a desk the cooler setting keeps reading legible; on a nightstand the warm end holds a low glow. The snowball form diffuses evenly and hides the source at every angle, which is what stops it glaring across a small room. DecorNestHub supplies it with the USB cable included. Stepless dimming matters more than a high maximum output on a lamp used at close range.
