No exposed bulb at any angle
Cordless, charges over USB
Touch switch with dimming
Description
A mushroom table lamp keeps its whole domed shade between the LED and your eye, so what you see is a soft cap of light rather than a source. It suits a bedside or a study where the lamp has to be gentle enough to sit beside for hours. There is no exposed bulb at any viewing angle, which is what makes it comfortable at close range. Domed shades are the simplest way to remove glare entirely from a lamp used at close range.
The base is aluminium, with a translucent PC or opaque shade depending on the version. It runs at 5 volts, charges over USB and is controlled by a touch switch with dimming, so there is no cable tethering it to a wall while it is in use. Colours run to white, orange, yellow, bright black, cobalt blue, pink and chrome. Aluminium dissipates the small amount of heat the LED produces, which helps battery life.
Because it is portable, it moves from a desk to a bedside to a dinner table without a socket dictating where it can go. Aluminium keeps the base weighted enough not to tip. DecorNestHub supplies it with the charging cable in the box. The brighter colours suit a desk; white and chrome disappear on a bedside table.

A cap of light, never a bulb
The domed shade sits between the LED and your eye, so what you see is a soft cap of light. There is no exposed source at any viewing angle.
Charged, so it goes anywhere
It charges over USB and runs untethered, so it moves from a desk to a bedside to a dinner table without a socket dictating where it can go.
Touch the base, dim the room
A touch switch with dimming handles it, and the aluminium base keeps the weight low enough that it will not tip when you reach for it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will I see the bulb?
No. The domed shade covers the source at every viewing angle, which is what makes it comfortable to sit beside for hours.
Does it need to stay plugged in?
No. It charges over USB and then runs cordless, so nothing tethers it to a wall while it is in use.
How is it controlled?
By touch switch with dimming, so the brightness can be set without hunting for a button.
Which colour should I choose?
White and chrome disappear on a bedside table. The brighter colours, cobalt blue, orange, yellow and pink, suit a desk where a bit of character helps.
Why an aluminium base?
It keeps the lamp weighted enough not to tip and dissipates the small amount of heat the LED produces, which helps battery life.
