Description
A travertine LED wall light does something a painted fitting cannot: the stone itself carries the pitting and banding that give the disc its face, so no two pieces read exactly alike. Mounted flat against plaster it becomes a quiet marker along a corridor rather than a feature demanding attention, and it looks like part of the wall rather than an object attached to it. Natural stone is one of the few materials that looks deliberate when it is not perfectly uniform.
The material is natural travertine with an integrated LED at 220 volts, in warm, white, neutral or three-colour output, switched from the wall. Diameters run to 16, 23, 28 and 32 centimetres, so the same design covers a narrow hallway and a wider bedroom wall. Fixings are included and the fitting is wall mounted. Travertine diffuses light through its own surface, softening the edge of the disc.
Along a corridor a run at even spacing gives light without a row of bright points. In a bedroom the larger diameter works beside a bed as a soft reading light.
